Being A Race Leader
Competitors want to be upfront. Being a leader takes more than going fast. It requires good choices and a team of good people around you that will help you to be successful. As an individual who seeks to be a leader you will want to use the following leadership qualities as a checklist of goals to try your hardest to reach:
Achievement Motivation – be motivated to do well in school
Peaceful Conflict Resolution – seek to resolve conflict nonviolently
Resistance Skills – learn to resist negative peer pressure and dangerous situations
Caring – place a high value on helping other people
Integrity – act upon your convictions and stand up for your beliefs
Honesty – tell the truth even when it’s not easy
Responsibility – accept and take responsibility for your choices whether good or bad
Restraint – it is important not to be sexually active or to use alcohol or other drugs
